The original text of the Bible was written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. The ancient text has to be translated into modern languages by qualified linguist and translation teams
that make choices about which preserved Hebrew and Greek copies they select to translate from and what style of translation to use. The slight variations in the available manuscripts do not change any major doctrine of the Christian church. Some translations use a word for word method while others use a "convey the intending meaning" method. Most modern Bibles have a copyright restriction placed on the text that requires permission to be obtained from the copyright holder to print or record the text.
The World English Bible is a copyright free update of the American Standard Version of 1901 into modern English. It is one of the few restriction free modern translations available and that is why I chose to record it. You can find out more information about the World English Bible and download the text for free at
Ebible.org The World English Bible is a good, conservative, literal translation that communicates the Good News of Jesus Christ. Many vistors to Audiotreasure.com do not speak English as their first language and would find the King James Version of the Bible difficult to understand.
